The ASSCAT RFAS Team presented research papers to the Department of Agriculture (DA)–AFRDEN Caraga titled "Exploring the Unheard Voices of Rice Farmers" and "A Community-Based, AI-Powered Mobile Application for a Rice Farming Accounting System."
Participants expressed strong support for the full implementation of the mobile application. Ruby Ann S. Lagahit, Provincial Agriculturist of the Province of Surigao del Norte, stated:
"We are very grateful that you shared your research papers. The data you presented are highly significant—especially the mobile application, which provides far better and more context-specific data than what we have previously encountered in the field. With its AI analytics, the system will certainly empower municipal, provincial, and regional rice coordinators to make more strategic decisions."
The Presiding Officer of DA–AFRDEN Caraga instructed the Regional Rice Program Coordinator to coordinate with the ASSCAT RFAS Team in developing a strategic plan for system implementation.
The presiding officer then called on the august body to pass a resolution commending the ASSCAT RFAS Team for their outstanding research papers and to award a plaque at the next DA–AFRDEN Caraga meeting.
The ASSCAT RFAS Team expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to be heard and to represent the voices of rice farmers.
